After working successfully with the client on a number of other projects, including The Malabar Apartments, in4D was asked to help document a new Bar Pavilion for Nembrala Now an existing small resort development on the island of Roti off Kumpang in Indonesia.

After a couple of options for the location and arrangement of the pavilion and the pool, in4D suggested that the pavilion become an ‘extension’ of the main building drawing the guests from inside the main building out to the pavilion with views of the pool and the sea beyond.

The concept included a wet edge to the seaward side of the pool to provide a visual connection of the pool to the sea across the sand.
